Big Splash Events will be hosted by Schools, Aquatic Centres, Swim Schools and Community Groups across Australia. For events that are open to the general public, we have listed their details below.

3 – 5pm Big Splash Schools Challenge Location: C2K Fitness and Aquatic Centre 77 Castle Street, Castle Hill
Castle Hill RSL, Coulter Swimming and C2K Fitness and Aquatic Centre will be overflowing with fun for the Active Family Fun Day and UNCLE TOBYS® Big Splash Swimathon on Sunday 21st February 2010 to help prevent child drowning by raising money for Royal Life Saving.
The funds donated to Royal Life Saving will support the Royal Life Saving Swim and Survive Drowning Prevention Strategy which aims to increase swimming and water safety awareness, access, employment pathways and research into the causes of drowning.
As well as the serious fundraising element to the day, families will be in the water for fun activities including Resuscitation demonstrations, Rescue Me, Noodle races and Rescue tube relays.
Olympic Medalist and UNCLE TOBYS® Ambassador Eamon Sullivan will be there on the day to make his Big Splash and compete in the Big Splash Relay.
“The UNCLE TOBYS® Big Splash Swimathon is a chance for all of us to support a great cause while being healthy and having fun. We want to reduce child drowning to zero in Australia. To help, join us in making a Big Splash on Sunday 21st February 2010 for the Royal Life Saving Society - Australia” said Eamon Sullivan, UNCLE TOBYS® Ambassador.
Warren Glenny, Castle Hill RSL President said they were delighted to help reduce childhood drowning by hosting an UNCLE TOBYS® Big Splash Swimathon. “Castle Hill RSL, Coulter Swimming and C2K Fitness and Aquatic Centre got involved in the UNCLE TOBYS® Big Splash Swimathon because we want to make a difference and help save lives”.
“It’s also a great way to get all the community including our members and local schools involved in a healthy activity. Our Active Family Fun Day will involve water safety activities and a Big Splash Community Challenge as well as the Big Splash Schools Challenge with local schools in the Hills Shire”.

Event Feature: The Forum Swim Academy, Newcastle NSW
The Forum Swim Academy at Newcastle University will be making their Big Splash on the 7 March, and they will be catering to all types of swimmers. For more committed swimmers looking for a challenge, there will be a Lap-a-thon where you will be up against the Swim Academy's best to try and complete as many laps as possible in a 3 hour window, while for younger and less competitive participants there will be a Splash Zone, and novelty races run on the day. Event Feature: Tilligerry Legend Leaders, Port Stephens NSW
The Tilligerry Aquatic Centre will be overflowing with fun on 27 February 2010 and the community is invited by the organisers Hands On Youth Events (HOYE) and the Tilligerry Aquatic Centre to take to the water to raise funds to help prevent child drowning deaths. Some of the funds raised will go to supporting local youth activity delivered by HOYE.
